Vehicle 2 Articulated Vehicle/Trailer Option Inputs: (Card 2 of 2 required)

Tractor-trailer option articulation angle limit stops definitions

These inputs are used to define the articulation stop properties of the tractor-trailer system.  For the m-smac articulation option,  an articulation  limit is simulated by means of a linearly increasing resistance to articulation which occurs between the angles gam1.2 and gam2.2. The resistance is defined by the friction moment (NF.2) and the angular stop moment (NS.2)

The following Optional Tirmu inputs are permits the simulation of individual tires which have drag factors different than the nominal MU (i.e., metal gouging, etc.).

If entered as 0.0, program assumes default value of 1.0 (normal).

An input value of 0.86 would produce an effective friction of 0.60 for a tire on a nominal friction coefficient of 0.70
