CARD 90, mimic EDSMAC modifications

The following options are provided to permit testing the effects of various changes made to the program by Engineering Dynamics Corporation  (EDSMAC) and others.

90:1

TrajVel

The original SMAC program used the vehicle U,V velocities for determination of the direction of side forces at the wheels. Calspan discovered that this was incorrect and modified the logic to calculate and use the individual wheel center velocities SX,SY.  The EDSMAC version appears to use the original version logic. m-smac uses the corrected Calspan calculations and logic.

If = 0, use SX,SY, default Calspan  SMAC or  m-smac.

If = 1, use U,V per some versions of EDSMAC.

90:2

TrajTabs

The original SMAC program uses quadratic interpolation for input tables of braking and steering. EDSMAC uses linear interpolation.

If = 0, use quadratic interpolation of input tables, per Calspan SMAC & m-smac.

If = 1, use linear interpolation per EDSMAC.

Please note that for control input tables with less than 4 inputs, a linear interpolation will be used by default.

90:3

SetIND

Calspan included modifications to the logic for the SETIND routine which determines whether front, side or corner logic should be used for the collision routine. m-smac has further modified the logic to indicate left/right front/rear indicators to avoid possible crush logic errors for simulated severe impacts where the deflections approach or exceed the half width of the vehicle.

If =0, Calspan SETIND routine.

If =1, use original SETIND routine, per EDSMAC.

If =2, m-smac SETIND routine, with additional logic for simulations of very severe impacts.
