Example: Polygon friction zone option

The following example demonstrates the input format for the m-smac polygon friction zone option. (The input cards are taken from the m-smac input file ADVSAMP2.Si5 which is contained in the project file ADVSAMP2.prj). In this example, the polygon friction zone is a high friction zone located in the 1st quadrant.

The following are the card inputs for the polygon friction zone option:

 1.      11.     1.00                                                          30

 546.    186.    362.4   198.    283.    228.    224.    271.               0  31

 188.    311.    151.    396.    130.    540.    116.    708.               1  31

 99.     756.    540.    756.    546.    186.                               2  31

The following is an echo of the card inputs for the polygon friction zone option:

The same inputs for the polygon friction zone option also could be entered in units of feet as follows:

(note that field 9 of card 30 is set=1.0)
