Torque Table Inputs for Vehicle No. 2

The control inputs for  vehicle braking/tractive force for vehicle No. 2 are entered as time history tables of Force as a function of time on card(s) 9. The first card for each torque input table is the table header card which describes the size and format for the input Force tables to follow.  The inputs can also optionally be specified as fractional % drag.

PLEASE NOTE: If the magnitude of all table inputs are ≤|1.0| , then the inputs are automatically assumed to be fractional %

Initial time for V2's braking or tractive force inputs.

End time for inputs for Vehicle No. 2.

TINCQ2

Time increment for braking or tractive force inputs for Vehicle No. 2. One value for braking or tractive force is input for each increment, so the size of TINCQ determines the detail with which braking and traction can be described by the mathematical model.

NOTE: If field 6 (VARINC, Variable time increment input Option) is set=1, then the definition of this variable is for the number of table inputs. Maximum 50.

Normally = 0.0.

If < 0.0, the program reads in and ignores the torque tables included following card #8.  (This option is to permit de-activating tables without having to delete the data in the tables.)

Set =1.0, to indicate percentage drag lockup specification option.

For convenience, an option has been added to m-smac to permit the specification of the drag on the wheels as a fractional percentage (%), where -1.0 is fully locked, 0.0 is free rolling.

PLEASE NOTE: If the magnitude of all table inputs are ≤|1.0| , then the inputs are automatically assumed to be %

VARINC

(default) If=0.0, table is assumed a fixed increment table

(optional) If =1.0, flag to indicate Variable time increment inputs. Field 4 is then used to indicate the number of table inputs.

(optional) If=2.0, flag to indicate Variable time increment inputs AND the 1st two entries in the table are for pre-impact and post-impact. The 1st value is applied until impact is detected and then the value is changed to the 2nd value over the time difference between the two entries.

When the final variable is set less than or equal to 0.0, the card is followed by tables containing the values for the braking or tractive force for Vehicle No. 1: RF, LF, RR &  LR tires  (and RRR & LRR for trailer option), one set of values per card,  and up to 50 table values.

The format for the tables is as follows:
